A Blessing Above the Dial

Carved and painted above the clock face is Ganesha, in keeping with an old custom of putting him at the entrance or the highest point of a room, and having him built into the clock itself means that small blessing is there every time you look up to check the time.

Finding the Right Wall

It’s nice to have by the main door, or directly across from the dining table. The wood tone and colors are neutral enough that it could fit into most home styles, whether the rest of the room is traditional or modern.

A Clock That Actually Works

The clock mechanism is simple and reliable, so it does the basic job well, and the wooden base is sturdy enough to stay mounted for years while light enough to put up with an ordinary wall hook.

Simple Upkeep

Wipe it occasionally with a soft, dry cloth and keep it out of direct sunlight and away from damp walls, as these can dull the colors and affect the wood over time, and replace the battery when it starts to run slow.
